24 More Days Until Christmas!

Well...it's almost here. What you say? Christmas! The happiest time of the year.

We tend to forget the 'true' meaning of Christmas...with all of the hustle and bustle to find the right gift for everyone on our list. We try to fit all of the holiday parties into our schedule. And must we not forget about Santa and his reindeer!

This is the time of the year when 'true' colors come out. Oh yeah....I about got into it with some ladies over a parking place I was waiting on....and the other ladies where going the wrong way to pull into the spot...and I got there first...what the heck???? LOL...I got the spot...but I was very uncomfortable while doing my shopping.

This is the time of the year when the winter blues set in. It is hard enough when depression comes easy for me anyways.

This is the time of the year when everyone wants to see you. Sometimes I want to stay home, lock the doors, get in my comfy flannel pajamas and get warm under the blankets with a good Hallmark movie on. I don't even answer the phone..but that is normal I guess! LOL!

This is the time of the year when it rains, snows, and sleets. Then temperatures drop over night and it all turns into ice. We have to relearn how to drive on sheets of ice. Not my favorite thing to do!

This is the time of the year when husbands turn into scrooges and wives turn into mall rats! Not me....this is the first year I have done over 90% of my shopping over the internet! Technology is awesome!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year...but only for one day of the season. The rest of the season, you can hand me my flannel pajamas, a blanket, some prozac, some hot-chocolate with a shot of hot damn, a hallmark movie, and my computer...and I will be the happiest girl ever!

Oh yeah, shut my phone off and lock my door...I will see you in the spring! :0)

AJ Got Baptized!

Wow...July 6th, 2008....this is probably the day that as a parent, I couldn't be any prouder of my son! AJ was baptized. This occasion will be remembered forever! AJ gave his life to God and in front of family, friends, and the congregation he glorified God with baptism!

I plan on buying AJ a Bible and writing down the two dates! June 19th, he gave his life to God and July 6th, he was baptized! In this Bible, I will write down the family members who celebrated with him. AJ was also baptized with his cousins Brandon and Josh. It was pretty neat to witness this occasion!

Family was so important on this date! Those who were there....

Grandma and Papaw Lamb
Randy, Lori, Ashlie, Tyler, Josh, and Brandon Lamb
Robbie and Kasey Lamb

Unfortunately my younger brother Ryan couldn't be there because he is in Iraq.

We will never forget this day...the day AJ gave his life to God!

Thursday Blessings

Here are a few Blessings that I am counting today......

  • My God
  • My Hubby ;-)
  • My Kids
  • My Christian Friends
  • VBS to reach out to the kids
  • My Health
  • Being Saved (that is a biggie :-) )
  • My Relationship with God
  • My Religious Freedom
  • My Christian Family!

Please keep some of my family members in your prayers. There are many who are not saved. They probably don't know what "saved" means! They obviously will not be going to Heaven after life on Earth. Many say they are Christians but don't walk with God. Our society is an evil society...and we all want what we want. We all should want what God wants us to have. I have a hard time putting God first in my life...but when I don't, there are so many consequences. Satan is always lurking around the corner waiting to get his glory. Even with us Christians, we are hit even harder! We need to embrace each other so satan can get no foothold!!!

MY...MY...MY!!!

No my house is NOT clean all the time! No my house is NOT clean most of the time!
I may make mistakes....I may make wrong decisions....I may not be perfect!

But I am me! It is MY house...they are MY mistakes...they are MY decisions...and I am perfect in MY own perfect way!

These are MY kids....these are MY parenting choices....these are MY parenting skills!

I do not do anything to glorify you! I do it all to Glorify God! He knows ME....He loves ME...He even loves me for me!

I do not have to have a clean house for Jesus to love me....

I do not have to make all the right choices for Jesus to love me.....

I do not have to make all the right decisions for Jesus to love me.....

I do not have to be perfect for Jesus to love me.....

But for me and my household....we will serve the Lord!
