ShoutOut: Happy Birthday to KIM!!!

This is just a shout out to my best friend, KIM DUELL!!! You have NO idea what you mean to me! I can't believe it took me so long to find such a wonderful friend! You have BLESSED my life so greatly! We are so much a like...but so different! I never knew I needed a Sanguine in my life...lol! I am going to take your words you said to me last Sunday in church......YOU COMPLETE ME! I love you so much...I don't know what I would do without you! You are the best...you rock...you are awesome...you are perfect! :) TMI...I know! LOL

Busy Days Equals a Busy Life!

Well we have gotten to a great start to school this year. We had to start off by taking Gabby to get her kindergarten shots. What a big girl she is! She didn't cry at all! After that we took her to get her ears pierced. She was so brave! I wanted to pierce her ears when she was a baby, but daddy wouldn't let me. He said that Gabby could get her ears pierced when she was old enough to make the decision. He also said no sooner than when she goes to kindergarten. When it was time, he said no...but guess what? I held him accountable for what he said the first time...lol!

Gabby started kindergarten last week. She is really enjoying it. This week will be the test though. Last week she went for only 2 days. This week she will have kindergarten everyday all day!

AJ is doing really well. He really likes his teachers. He will have homework and lots of reading each night. He is also playing football and has practice 2 nights a week! Then we will have games on Saturdays.

Wednesdays we will be having Awanas. AJ has really enjoyed Awanas. I am not sure how Gabby will do this year since she will be in the next level. She will have a lot of memorizing to do. However, football practice will be during part of Awanas...but that is ok...hopefully we will be able to do it all.

I want to put Gabby in either a dance, tumble, or cheer class. There isn't much for her to do. I didn't want to put her in soccer since it is an outside sport and we have trouble with her asthma mostly during this time of the year.

Right now the kids have lots going on and I just absolutely love it! I rather have busy bodies running around than lazy bodies!!! I could really use all of your prayers to keep my family going and most importantly keeping us together as family! I hate the day that we all start going our separate ways.

AJ Got Baptized!

Wow...July 6th, 2008....this is probably the day that as a parent, I couldn't be any prouder of my son! AJ was baptized. This occasion will be remembered forever! AJ gave his life to God and in front of family, friends, and the congregation he glorified God with baptism!

I plan on buying AJ a Bible and writing down the two dates! June 19th, he gave his life to God and July 6th, he was baptized! In this Bible, I will write down the family members who celebrated with him. AJ was also baptized with his cousins Brandon and Josh. It was pretty neat to witness this occasion!

Family was so important on this date! Those who were there....

Do I Hear an Amen!!!!

I have such GREAT news!!!! My son AJ got SAVED last night at Vacation Bible School! Wow! Please keep him in your prayers! We have had such a great VBS this year. I guess there were 5 other churches in the area having their VBS the same week. So even though the numbers are down....it is OK! God is still doing His work and so are we!!! Do I hear an AMEN to that????

Please keep some of my family members in your prayers. There are many who are not saved. They probably don't know what "saved" means! They obviously will not be going to Heaven after life on Earth. Many say they are Christians but don't walk with God. Our society is an evil society...and we all want what we want. We all should want what God wants us to have. I have a hard time putting God first in my life...but when I don't, there are so many consequences. Satan is always lurking around the corner waiting to get his glory. Even with us Christians, we are hit even harder! We need to embrace each other so satan can get no foothold!!!

I really want a COKE!

Well it has been a week and a half since I have had a coke! I woke up on June 9th and said I have to do this. I am tired of feeling so bad. Water is suppose to be the magical cure...right? Wrong...it is God...and this has to be a God thing! I don't think I could do it without HIM! Water use to be so hard to drink for me. As each day goes on, it gets easier. I had a migraine Monday, and unfortunately it was the first day of VBS. But after a couple Aleve and a small prayer, it went away before the children came into the church. Please keep me in your prayers, because this is sooo hard! I really love drinking Coke...not diet Coke...but the real stuff! I especially love McDonald's cokes! I don't know what it is about them, but they are awesome!

Monday when I was experiencing my headache....I thought to myself, I am going to go to McDonalds and get me the largest coke they have. I pulled right up to the drive-thru, and I ordered my kids their food. I drove to Speedway gas station, and purchased the largest water they had! LOL...Praise God for being there when I need Him the most!!!

Just to let you all know...I am drinking water! Not tea, Not kool-aid, Not any other soda....but Water. I do drink a little milk here and there...but I think that one is OK! ;-)

The Next Survivor Series

THE NEXT SURVIVOR SERIES

Six married men will be dropped on an island with one car and 3 kids each for six weeks.

Each kid will play two sports and either take music or dance classes.

There is no fast food.

Each man must take care of his 3 kids; keep his assigned house clean, correct all homework, and complete science projects, cook, do laundry, and pay a list of 'pretend' bills with not enough money.

In addition, each man will have to budget in money for groceries each week.

Each man must remember the birthdays of all their friends and relatives, and send cards out on time--no emailing.

Each man must also take each child to a doctor's appointment, a dentist appointment and a haircut appointment.

He must make one unscheduled and inconvenient visit per child to the Urgent Care.

He must also make cookies or cupcakes for a social function.

Each man will be responsible for decorating his own assigned house, planting flowers outside and keeping it presentable at all times.

The men will only have access to television when the kids are asleep and all chores are done.

The men must shave their legs, wear makeup daily, adorn himself with jewelry, wear uncomfortable yet stylish shoes, keep fingernails polished and eyebrows groomed.

During one of the six weeks, the men will have to endure severe abdominal cramps, back aches, and have extreme, unexplained mood swings but never once complain or slow down from other duties.

They must attend weekly school meetings, church, and find time at least once to spend the afternoon at the park or a similar setting.

They will need to read a book to the kids each night and in the morning, feed them, dress them, brush their teeth and comb their hair by 7:00 am.

A test will be given at the end of the six weeks, and each father will be required to know all of the following information: each child's birthday, height, weight, shoe size, clothes size and doctor's name.

Also the child's weight at birth, length, time of birth, and length of labor, each child's favorite color, middle name, favorite snack, favorite song, favorite drink, favorite toy, biggest fear and what they want to be when they grow up.

The kids vote them off the island based on performance. The last man wins only if...he still has enough energy to be intimate with his spouse at a moment's notice.

If the last man does win, he can play the game over and over and over again for the next 18-25 years eventually earning the right To be called Mother!
