An Overwhelming Feeling!

OK, right now I feel very overwhelmed. It is December 14th and I have so much to do! I want to get everything done, but I have been sick. I have a head cold that has settled in my ears. I have been taking some amoxicillin hoping that would help. I started taking it Thursday morning, almost 4 days ago, but it hasn't seemed to help any. I can hear, but there is so much pressure in my ears, that it is driving me insane....as if I wasn't already! I don't want to go to the doctor, cause that is one more thing to do. I have been getting some rest, but that is only because I have been really drowsy.

I don't know how I am going to get stuff done this week. I have to fill out Christmas envelopes, write and print out a holiday letter, make goodies for teachers and bus driver, decorate the Christmas tree, clean my house, catch up on laundry, finish Christmas shopping, go to Awanas on Wednesday...and so much more that I can't think of at the moment.

This is such a crazy time of the year. With Christmas, family parties, house decorating, shopping, baking, moving my husband to Alabama, visiting Alabama, Gabby's birthday, and other birthday parties, I don't need to be sick on top of it!!! It is just an overwhelming feeling!!! Please keep me in your prayers to get better and to keep things in check! Thanks!!!

Alabama....the pros and cons!

Well, I went to Alabama to look at homes, and see the area. The area is pretty big. It is almost like Lafayette and West Lafayette. Tuscaloosa is home to the University of Alabama. AJ's and Gabby's future Alma Mater? Who knows! I would like it to be Purdue...but either way would be fine.

Parts of me wants to move to Alabama today. I find my self in situations and conversations that want me to move as far away as I can. On the other hand, I don't want to leave some people.

Here is a pro and con list about Alabama.....this will be fun!

• Pro...I will be more on my own!
• Con...I will be more on my own...oh no!
• Pro...It could make my husband's, the kid's and my relationship stronger.
• Con...It could tear us apart.
• Pro...More money.
• Con...Who knows what the economy could do?
• Pro...It could put much needed space between extended family.
• Con...Don't know where to stay when visiting during holidays.
• Pro...Meet new people.
• Con...Leave old friends :-(
• Pro...Warmer climate.
• Con...Warmer climate.
• Pro...A Fresh New start!
• Con...Out of my comfort zone.
• Pro...Could make my relationship with my mom stronger.

24 More Days Until Christmas!

Well...it's almost here. What you say? Christmas! The happiest time of the year.

We tend to forget the 'true' meaning of Christmas...with all of the hustle and bustle to find the right gift for everyone on our list. We try to fit all of the holiday parties into our schedule. And must we not forget about Santa and his reindeer!

This is the time of the year when 'true' colors come out. Oh yeah....I about got into it with some ladies over a parking place I was waiting on....and the other ladies where going the wrong way to pull into the spot...and I got there first...what the heck???? LOL...I got the spot...but I was very uncomfortable while doing my shopping.

This is the time of the year when the winter blues set in. It is hard enough when depression comes easy for me anyways.

This is the time of the year when everyone wants to see you. Sometimes I want to stay home, lock the doors, get in my comfy flannel pajamas and get warm under the blankets with a good Hallmark movie on. I don't even answer the phone..but that is normal I guess! LOL!

This is the time of the year when it rains, snows, and sleets. Then temperatures drop over night and it all turns into ice. We have to relearn how to drive on sheets of ice. Not my favorite thing to do!

This is the time of the year when husbands turn into scrooges and wives turn into mall rats! Not me....this is the first year I have done over 90% of my shopping over the internet! Technology is awesome!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year...but only for one day of the season. The rest of the season, you can hand me my flannel pajamas, a blanket, some prozac, some hot-chocolate with a shot of hot damn, a hallmark movie, and my computer...and I will be the happiest girl ever!

Oh yeah, shut my phone off and lock my door...I will see you in the spring! :0)
